What’s the best kind of writing work?
Answer: The kind you don’t even apply for.
There have been a few times in my career when people have approached me to do some work for them based on something of mine they find somewhere online. It’s one of the nicest things ever to open up my e-mail and find a note from someone who has a job waiting for me even though I never contacted them for one.
Not only does it make me feel great to think that someone might want to hire me based on my work, but it saves me some time too. Freelancing involves spending time periodically searching for work because even if my plate is full I’m always looking for better things to fill my plate with. It’s an evolving process. I guess the best writers don’t have to spend any time at all seeking out new projects because the projects just magically show up.
What a beautiful thought.
What’s the second best kind of writing work? Product reviews. You want to send me a free product and pay me to write a review? Oh, okay…twist my arm.

oh, I could use one or twenty of those sorts of jobs… a Kindle reader review comes to mind! I could do a great job of that
I would TOTALLY take that job! Let me know if you find an ad for it.
